Using the latest and fastest technology, the BlueSolar maximizes this “harvest” of energy, intelligently managing it to get a full charge as quickly as possible. The BlueSolar keeps your battery in good condition and extends its lifespan.
MPPT: ultra fast location of the point of maximum power.
By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar panels (PV), MPPT technology ensures that every particle of energy available from your panels is recovered to be stored. The advantage of this technology is particularly appreciated when the sky is partly cloudy, and the intensity of the light changes constantly.
Remote monitoring and control
Remotely control and supervise the multiple functions of your BlueSolar MPPT charger by connecting a Bluetooth electronic key and associating it with your smartphone or any other device through VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the Internet, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) allows you to access the full power of your MPPT, anytime, anywhere: both services are free. For remote installations without connection to the internet or a nearby telephone signal, you can possibly monitor your MPPT by associating it via Bluetooth with a device with LoRaWAN technology (wide area network long range), available as an option.
The intelligent charge output function avoids the risk of damage caused by the use of “dead” batteries. You can configure the voltage at which the BlueSolar will disconnect a charge if necessary - thereby preventing excessive drawing on your batteries. And here is the most interesting: BlueSolar will try to achieve a 100% recharge every day. If this is not possible - for example during periods of bad weather - it will increase the disconnection voltage, daily, until full recharge. We call this function BatteryLife because it keeps your battery in good condition and extends its lifespan.
BatteryLife: intelligent battery management
When a solar charge controller cannot fully charge the battery in one day, it often results in the battery constantly alternating between a "partially charged" state and an "end of discharge" state. This operating mode (non-regular full recharge) will damage lead-acid batteries in a few weeks or months. The BatteryLife algorithm will control the state of charge of the battery, and if necessary, slightly increase, day after day, the level of disconnection of the load (i.e. it will disconnect the charge earlier), until sufficient solar energy to recharge the battery to almost 100% of its capacity. From there, the load disconnection level will be modulated so that a recharge of almost 100% is achieved at least once a week.
