In the event of a power outage or disconnection from the shore or the generator, the Multi's converter activates automatically and takes over the supply of the connected loads. This transfer is so rapid (less than 20 milliseconds) that the functioning of computers or other electronic equipment will not be disturbed.
The complete bridge topology with a toroidal transformer has proven its reliability for years. The converter is protected against short circuits and overheating, whether in the event of overload or high ambient temperature.
Strong starting power
Necessary to start loads with a high inrush current such as power converters for LED bulbs, halogens or power tools.
If the Search mode is in the "on" position, the power consumption of the converter is reduced by around 70% if no load is available. Thanks to this mode, when the Multi operates in converter mode, it is stopped in the event of no load or very low load, then switched on every two seconds for a short period. If the load current exceeds the set level, the converter continues to operate. Otherwise, the converter stops again.
By default, the programmable relay is configured as an alarm relay, i.e. the relay is deactivated in the event of an alarm or pre-alarm (converter almost too hot, input ripple almost too high, battery voltage almost too low).
